SAJS provides a forum for the exchange of information between jazz enthusiasts, producing jazz events throughout the year, bringing musicians and the community together for their enjoyment.
SAJS is a non-profit organization of business and professional people, musicians, teachers, students and enthusiasts, working together for the purpose of advancing jazz music as a unique American art form within the community.
The society is also committed to promoting music education with emphasis on jazz for students who are residents of St. Johns County
